Guitar Class

Yesterday, I joined guitar class at Institute of Modern Music...my long cherished dream of entering into world of music...It's starting from 4th July...I have tried my hands on flute last year...but found really tough...and discontinued learning flute...I still remember my Guruji Shri Krishna Bhandari and his words...I really want to rejoin it but time don't permit...One of the reasons behind joining flute was my most loved one idol Shri Krishna....He used to play Bansuri(flute)...

When I went to my first trip to US, I bought an electric guitar from a Chinese guy at Great Mall, Santa Clara, CA last year!...and was waiting for amplifier....In next US trip, I bought pocket amplifier, new product from First Act...also another amplifier from a music shop at Pune Camp....so much to fulfill my dream....

Then started search for good guitar class...I and Gaurav(my company mate at NetXen Systems, India) contacted many teachers....our phone book started filling with phone numbers of guitar teachers...We went for a short class(2 hrs!) near Pimple Saudagar....learned basics, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa...Avinash sir demonstrated his skills with some good bollywood songs including famous Sholay song "Mehbooba o mehbooba"...I was really fascinated with it as I was new to all these...Gaurav had some experience of playing guitar...So he was quick to pick up and played english song "Hotel California" beautifully...We went to IMM once to inquire about timings and style of teaching...I impressed with the fact this institute is teaching music from last 43 years(Today they are entering into 44th year)...But the environment is not enthusiastic..looked like a school with strictness....anyway from childhood I am used to strictness from my mother(who was Primary teacher), my school at Nashik, HSC college, then engineering college...Let's see how is this experience...stay tuned!

तात्या

तात्या तात्या म्हणजे एक विलक्षण व्यक्तिमत्त्व. ते म्हणतात ना "मूर्ति लहान पण कीर्ति महान". हे तंतोतंत लागु होईल असे लाल बहादुर शाश्री, सचिन तेंदुलकर, अ. र. रेहमान या दिगज्जान्प्रमाने यांचे कर्तुत्व आहे हे नक्की. अत्यंत साधी राहानिमान असणारे तात्या विचारांनी मात्र उच्च आहेत. व्यवसाय म्हणून "डॉक्टर"की करणारे तात्या म्हणजे आमचे फॅमिली डॉक्टर. लहानपनापासुन आम्ही सगळे बहिन-भावंडे तिकडेच वार्या करीत असू. त्यांना पाहताच आमचा आजार कुठल्या कुठे पलुन जात असे. फ़क्त B.A.M.S. केलेले तात्या M.D. केलेल्या डॉक्टरनाही लाजवतिल इतका त्यांचा अदभूत हातगुण!! त्यांची treatment करायची पध्दतही तितकीच साधी-सरल-सोपी...३०-५० रुपयांपेक्षा जास्त फी कधीही त्यानी मागितली नाही. आताच काही दिवसान्पुर्विचा एक किस्सा सांगतो... मी पुण्याहून नाशिकला शनिवार-रविवार सुट्टी असल्याने घरी गेलो...थोड़ी तब्येताही ठीक नव्हती. सर्दी-ताप-खोकला या त्रिकुतामुले हैरान जालो होतो. पुण्यात उपचार करून जास्त काही फरक पडला नाही. तात्याच आता माज्हे तारणहार आहेत याची मला खात्री होती. माज्हा नंब...
