Love - Aaj, Kal aur `Kal'
How will be love of tomorrow(Kal)?...Better make a sequel to movie "Love aaj kal"!
When I saw movie "Love Aaj Kal", same question peeped into my mind. Director Imtiz Ali who impressed with his previous film(not debut!..remember "Socha Na Tha"!) "Jab we met" starring Kareena and Shahid Kapoor, wanted to show differences between generations of 80's or early 90's and now towards "Love" in this movie.
Earlier, society was mostly closed in nature. There was no permission to girls and boys to even talk to each other. Girls were under continuous attention and in control of parents. You used to see common middle-class girl in salwar-kameez or punjabi kurta with duppata or odhani. This may be we were not exposed to other cultures which were more open.
The way world changed, became technologically advanced. Communication became easy. There are lot of ways of communication like Internet, e-mail, chatting, phone, sms, etc. Due to that we learned about other cultures, their style of living. Then started following same way. World truly bacame round...
We have gained so much, but lost something...
Today's youth don't ask parents before doing anything. I am not saying that all girls don't ask. Dating is common. Dates are fixed online on Internet through social networking sites. They even don't know how the other person looks like, what are his/her likes or dislikes. Sometimes true names are also not exchanged. Relationship starts with dating, kissing, closeness...
Imagining tomorrow's generation and how they will make Love, will they have emotions, will be there such a thing called long lasting relationship through marriage...I stopped thinking more...
